Yet another of our favorite green beans. This variety was first known as "Texas Pole Bean" and was developed Pre-1864. Popular since its introduction, though it has undergone some change over the years. Resistant to bean rust. 8 in. pods, stringless and tender when small. Use fresh, for canning and freezing, or as a dry bean. Small (28 g) packet has about 75 seeds. 66 days. Phaseolus vulgaris. Family: Legumes.
