Course Overview:
In this fun, hands-on class, you’ll design and craft custom bowls that are as functional as they are beautiful. Using various pottery techniques, you’ll personalize your bowls to match your aesthetic, adding texturing, stamping, and even hand-drawn details.
• Week 1: Designing & creating Your Personalized Bowl
Begin by designing the ideal bowl for your favorite foods. You’ll learn how to craft the right shape and size while adding fun textures, stamps, and even hand-drawn designs. You’ll also have the option to personalize your bowl with names, phrases, or any other creative details that make it special.
• Week 2: Glazing and Finishing Your Bowl
After the bisque firing, it’s time to add vibrant color! In this session, you’ll glaze your bowl using underglazes to bring your design to life. Learn how to apply color and accentuate your unique textures, making your bowl ready for use in your kitchen or as a perfect gift.
Course Details:
• All materials and firings are included in the course fee. Students can make multiples as time permits.
• Bowls will be ready for pickup within two weeks of the final class, and we will notify you when they are available.
• Please bring a hand towel, wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and non-slip shoes for safety.
• Basic pottery tools will be provided.
