Course Overview:
In this two-week class, you’ll create a set of customized pet bowls that will be as functional as they are adorable. Using a variety of texturing techniques and personal touches, you’ll design bowls that fit your pet’s needs and personality.
•    Week 1: Personalized Pet Bowls
Start by designing and crafting bowls in the appropriate size for your pet. You’ll be guided in stamping your pet’s name, adding fun molded forms, and using texturing tools to make each bowl unique. Plus, if you bring a black-and-white, traceable picture of your pet or their paw print, you’ll learn how to transfer the image onto your pottery for a truly personal touch. This session is all about making your pet’s dining experience extra special!
•    Week 2: Glazing Your Pet Bowls
After your pet bowls are bisque fired, it’s time to bring them to life with color! In this session, you’ll glaze your bowls using underglaze to highlight the textures, stamps, and personal details you've added. Learn how to apply colors that complement your designs, and watch as your creations are transformed into functional works of art.

Course Details:
•    All materials and firings are included in the course fee. Students can make multiples of projects as time permits. Your bowls will be fired and ready for pickup within two weeks of the final class, and we will notify you when they are available for collection.
•    Please come prepared with a hand towel for your use and whatever beverage you want. Wear comfortable, older clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, and non-slip shoes for safety.
•    Basic pottery tools will be available in the studio for your use.

This class is designed for all skill levels, from beginners to those with some experience working with clay. It’s open to anyone ages 16 and up who loves pets and wants to make something special for them. Whether you’re new to pottery or a seasoned maker, this course offers a fun and easy way to create beautiful, customized pet bowls.
